R.J. O’Brien & Associates LLC (RJO), the largest independent futures brokerage firm in the United States, announced today the promotion of Jason Manumaleuna to Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. He will report to Tom Anderson, Chief Financial Officer of R.J. O’Brien Holdings.
Manumaleuna, 36, has served since 2008 as RJO’s Controller. He has spent his career in the futures industry, starting in 1997 in the Audit Department of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). Since he left CME in 1998, he has served as Controller for several FCMs, including Refco and Calyon Financial. He also worked in Internal Audit at MF Global.
Anderson said: "Jason has done an outstanding job as Controller for the organization. As we continue executing our growth strategy both domestically and internationally, his role will be to help us analyze opportunities for revenue growth and smart spending, as well as manage our position in the domestic and international regulatory landscape. I look forward to working with Jason in this capacity and have no doubt he will add great value in this important new position."
Manumaleuna said: "Throughout my career, I have worked diligently to understand and meet the unique needs of the highly regulated futures brokerage and clearing community. I’m excited to apply those skills and experience fully as I work with Tom to roll out the financial and regulatory strategy for RJO."
Manumaleuna earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
