R.J. O’Brien Appoints Ryan Gillmore to Chief Information Officer

R.J. O’Brien & Associates, LLC (RJO), the largest independent futures brokerage in the US, is pleased to announce that Ryan Gillmore has been named Chief Information Officer, effective February 4th.

At RJO, Mr. Gillmore will be responsible for developing the strategy to enhance and advance RJO’s technology. Mr. Gillmore will also be responsible for overseeing all of the firm’s technology functions including IT infrastructure, application development, and back office processing.

Prior to joining RJO, Mr. Gillmore spent five years at the Chicago Board of Trade and CME Group where he was an Associate Director for the Corporate Programs Office. While at CBOT/CME, he led the migration of CBOT’s Hosted Exchanges to the Globex platform and co-led the technology team within the CBOT/CME merger integration planning process. Prior to joining CBOT in 2002, he was a Manager at KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint. Mr. Gillmore began his career at Arthur Anderson LLP. He holds a Masters of Science in Computer Science from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign.
